A brief History of All Saints

The church of All Saints has been at the heart of Pocklington's township and life for almost 1,400 years.

Dubbed 'The Cathedral of the Wolds' the tower of All Saints defines Pocklington from miles around, and its interior is the focal point for visitors to the town, many who are tracing their family roots.

It is Pocklington`s only medieval building and the only one with a Grade One listing.

This legacy gives a considerable challenge and responsibility to the current community.

The congregation of All Saints works extremely hard to meet the major demands of running the church, but it needs all the help it can get from anyone who has an interest in the preservation of the building for future generations.
